Working with congregations on an ongoing basis, Rabbi Kominsky provides many of the benefits of having a rabbi to congregations which are not in a position to hire a full time rabbi. During a visit the rabbi might:

• Lead services
• Participate in the religious school
• Teach an adult education session
• Work with congregational committees
• Visit the sick
• Be available for pastoral counseling

 

The specifics of any particular weekend vary with the needs of the congregation, and will usually be somewhat different visit to visit. For instance, once visit might include a session with the ritual committee or the board of the congregation, while another might include a havdalah social or Purim Party.
